Description

On a Rolleiflex 3.5T, 3.5F, or 2.8F, the selenium-cell light meter is usually the weak point. The cell reacts chemically to light and wears out over the years, even if the camera is only standing on a shelf and exposed to daylight.

This cover blocks light from reaching the metering cell and thus stops the chemical process while you are not taking photographs. You put it on when the camera is not in use and remove it again when you want to take pictures. Since an old selenium light meter is practically impossible to repair, this helps it continue measuring accurately for as long as possible over the years.
