Description
Description
The original 411A (also Eveready 411 or BLR121) was a carbon-zinc battery and is hard to find today or past its shelf life. This adapter gets your classic meter running again: it takes 10 common AG10 alkaline cells and delivers a stable 15 volts with higher capacity.
This form factor is found mainly in the early AVO 8 meters (e.g. Mk III) as well as in old transistor radios. Instead of paying double for an original that is past its shelf life, you can use the adapter and common AG10 cells.
Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
Is the adapter meant for my AVO meter? It has the 411A form factor with socket contacts and replaces the types NEDA 208 and BLR121. It is built for the AVO 8 meter and devices with the same battery compartment.
Where do the 15 volts come from? From ten AG10 cells in series. All ten are included, and the capacity is around 180 mAh, which lasts a long time given the low consumption of a meter.
Does it fit the battery compartment dimensionally? The adapter measures 26,2 x 16,1 x 37 mm and thus matches the original cell. If in doubt, measure your compartment before ordering.

You want innovative solutions instead of mass-produced goods? With us, you don’t buy from an anonymous wholesaler, but directly from the founders. We (Anto & Vladi) started our startup in October 2021 in Würzburg to help you revive analog photography.
Developed by engineers
Designed in Würzburg
We don’t sell anything we wouldn’t use ourselves. We are engineers and camera nerds, and we know that precision is especially important in camera technology. That’s why we design our parts ourselves in Würzburg, and we make and assemble most of them here too. Batteries and rechargeables come from other manufacturers, for example Varta.
