The 411A (Eveready 411 or BLR121) is a replacement for the once popular carbon-zinc battery, which was often used in AVO measuring instruments. Since the 411A is an alkaline battery, it lasts longer than the original. It is commonly used in old transistor radios and in the early models of the 8 AVO measuring instruments, such as the Mk III AVO meter.
