- Stable 1.35V like the original: 675 zinc-air batteries deliver exactly the voltage your camera’s light meter needs for accurate readings by design.
- Replacement for the dead PX1/MR50: The adapter provides the correct mechanical fit, while the zinc-air battery supplies the voltage of the no-longer-available 1.35V mercury battery.
- No inaccurate 1.5V readings: Modern 1.5V alkaline batteries mislead the light meter; the zinc-air cell instead maintains a constant 1.35V.
- Ready to install: The adapter and six compatible batteries are included—insert them and start taking photos.

Description
If you are looking for an LR50 battery for your camera, you can now only find 1.5V alkaline cells. The original 1.35V mercury battery (PX1/MR50) has long since disappeared from stores. Using standard 1.5V alkaline batteries instead misleads the light meter. The readings are no longer accurate. This adapter solves the problem: it holds a 675 zinc-air hearing-aid battery, which delivers a constant voltage of exactly 1.35V by design.
The adapter provides the correct mechanical fit in the battery compartment, while the zinc-air cell supplies the correct voltage. The compatible batteries are included and ready to use.
Frequently asked questions
Which battery do I need, and how many are included? Zinc-air type 675. Six batteries are included. You can get replacements as hearing-aid batteries at any pharmacy or drugstore, usually in packs of six for under three euros.
Does the adapter provide the original metering voltage? Yes. Under the low load of a light meter, zinc-air cells provide around 1.35V, matching the value your camera was calibrated for. The voltage remains stable throughout the service life.
Which cameras is the adapter designed for? It replaces the PX1 or MR50 and fits, among others, the Minolta Autocord and Canon QL25. Other designations for the same cell include E1N, RM-1N, EPX1, and V1PX.
