Good to know

Without a battery, all shutter speeds and manual exposure remain usable, but the light meter does not work. [2]

To take a meter reading, press and hold the metering button on the back of the camera, then transfer the light value you read off to the LVS ring. [1]

Before using the self-timer, make sure the flash sync lever is set to X. [1]
