  • Replacement for the discontinued V74PX: The original 15V battery is no longer manufactured. This adapter brings retired flash units and light meters back into action.
  • Standard button cells instead of a special battery: You use 10x AG10 (LR54), which you can get at any drugstore. You simply swap out empty cells, and the adapter stays in use.
  • Exactly the original voltage: The 10 AG10 cells together provide the required 15 V of the V74PX (also called LP90 or 10LR54).
  • Fits like the original: At 34.9 mm x 15.1 mm, the adapter matches the exact dimensions of the V74PX. It fits into the battery compartment without any modification.

Description

This battery adapter replaces the 15 V V74PX battery (also LP90, 10LR54, 504, MN154 or BLR154) in light meters such as the Gossen Sixton and in flash units such as the Nikon BC-7 or the Rollei 16S flash. It holds ten AG10 button cells (LR54), which together deliver the 15 V of the original.

Finding a replacement for the V74PX is hard: it's no longer manufactured and is nowhere to be found. The AG10 cells, on the other hand, you can get at any drugstore, so you're no longer dependent on overpriced leftover stock with hardly any power left.

At 34.9 mm x 15.1 mm, the adapter matches the dimensions of the V74PX and can be installed without any further adjustment, fitting for example the Gossen Sixton light meter.

Frequently asked questions

Why do I need 15 volts? The V74PX was the standard cell in older light meters and measuring devices that need a high voltage at a tiny current. The adapter generates the 15V from ten AG10 cells, which together provide the same voltage as the original.

Are the cells included, and how do I buy more? Ten AG10 cells are included. You can get more from us as a refill pack or in stores; the cells are also sold under LR54.

Does the adapter fit my device in terms of size? It measures 34.9 x 15.1 mm, matching the original V74PX. It also replaces LP90, 10LR54, 504, MN154, and BLR154. If your designation isn't listed, get in touch with us.

  2. Peter W.Verified purchase
