- Want to avoid loose contacts? The adapter bundles the individual cells and exactly replicates the shape of the original PX28 block battery for a secure fit.
- Accurate exposure? Four button cells together deliver around 6 V, like the original PX28. For consistently accurate light metering, use SR44 (silver oxide): they hold their voltage until shortly before the end, while LR44 (alkaline) lose it gradually.

The later models of the Minox 35 series (MB, ML, MDC) are electronically more advanced and cope with modern 6V voltages without any problems. The real issue is often getting hold of the special PX28 battery. This adapter, made from engineering plastic, solves that logistical problem: it lets you use four standard button cells (LR44 or SR44). It acts as a precise spacer that stacks the cells and ensures the correct contact pressure in the battery compartment.

Does the adapter also fit the other Minox 35 models? This one is intended for the models with a PX28 compartment: MB, ML and MDC. The older Minox 35 models with PX27 need a different adapter, which you can also find in our shop. If in doubt, just write to us with your model.
Which cells go inside? Four LR44 or SR44, which together deliver around 6 V, like the original PX28. Four LR44 are included, or four SR44 in the silver oxide variant. For consistently accurate exposure we recommend SR44, which we also offer in a 4-pack for restocking.
How long does a set of cells last? That depends on how often you meter. Alkaline cells last several months with normal use. If the camera is going to sit unused for a while, take the cells out so nothing can leak.
