In short: The 6-pack of Type 675 (PR44) zinc-air batteries is the refill pack for your PX625/MR9 battery adapter (adapter not included, sold separately). Under the microampere load of a CdS light meter, they deliver a steady ~1.35 V—the voltage of the original PX625 mercury cell: correct exposure, a flat discharge curve, no drift.

Refill pack with 6 Type 675 zinc-air batteries for our PX625/MR9 battery adapter. If your camera originally used a PX675 (MR44), insert the cell directly without an adapter. The 675 has the same physical size.

Correct exposure readings thanks to a constant ~1.35 V—the voltage of the original PX625 mercury cell. Zinc-air batteries drop to ~1.35 V under the minimal load of a CdS meter. Flat discharge curve, no drift.

Scope of delivery: 6 Type 675 zinc-air batteries (adapter not included).

Frequently asked questions

Do I need the adapter? That depends on your camera. If it originally used a PX625 (MR9), you need one: the 675 is significantly smaller and would not be held securely in the compartment. If it originally used a PX675 (MR44), insert the cell directly. You can find out which type your camera needs in our battery list by camera model. The adapter is not included here and is sold separately.

Where else can I get Type 675 batteries? You can also get Type 675 zinc-air batteries at any drugstore (dm, Rossmann) or pharmacy. You are not tied to us.

How long do they last? In the camera, about 2–3 months, because a CdS meter draws only microamperes. In a hearing aid, however, they last only 5–12 days.

How do I activate them? Peel off the protective film, wait 1–2 minutes (the battery takes in oxygen), then insert it, either directly or into the adapter, depending on the camera.
