- Replacement for the original battery: The adapter replaces the defective or unaffordable original battery and brings your Beaulieu back to life.
- Exact voltage thanks to integrated custom PCB: The circuit board provides the required 7.2V for the motor and 3.6V for the light meter.
- More than double the capacity of the original: 6 standard AAA NiMh batteries are enough for over 20 cartridges on a single charge.
- Plug & Play instead of tinkering: Insert batteries, slide in the adapter, done.
- Metal casing with metal thread: The improved MK2 version has a sturdy metal casing with a metal thread on the screw cap (unlike in the video, see pictures).
Safety Instructions
ALWAYS charge the AAA batteries in an external NiMh charger (included in the set), NEVER in the original Beaulieu charger or via the camera socket – fire hazard! Please always screw and unscrew the robust metal thread of the cap carefully.

Description
Description
The Beaulieu 3008 and 5008 are undoubtedly among the best Super 8 cameras ever made – if it weren’t for the annoying battery situation. Our adapter is the definitive solution to this problem. It was developed by us and manufactured in Germany. The cap is equipped with a robust metal thread that ensures a secure closure. Thanks to the specially developed circuit board, the adapter guarantees the exact voltage supply for the motor and light meter.
The result is a stable and robust power supply that allows you to film over 20 cartridges on a single charge. You have the choice: go for the Eco variant if you already have plenty of batteries, or take the variant with batteries and charger for an immediate start. For long shooting days, we recommend a second insert without cap (already included in the variants with two adapters) and a transport box. This way, you can charge one set while the other is working in the camera.

Support a young startup
You want innovative solutions instead of mass-produced goods? With us, you don’t buy from an anonymous wholesaler, but directly from the founders. We (Anto & Vladi) started our startup in October 2021 in Würzburg to help you revive analog photography.
Developed by engineers
Designed in Würzburg
We don’t sell anything we wouldn’t use ourselves. We are engineers and camera nerds, and we know that precision is especially important in camera technology. That’s why we design our parts ourselves in Würzburg, and we make and assemble most of them here too. Batteries and rechargeables come from other manufacturers, for example Varta.
