Without a battery, the mechanical flash sync speed of 1/60 s still works; all other speeds, including B, are controlled electronically. [1]

Shutter speed and aperture are set by hand; for correct exposure, the flashing and the steadily lit indicators in the viewfinder must line up. [1]
