- Light leaks no more: protect your valuable recordings from light leaks
- Universal set suitable for all common analog cameras
- Simple handling: precisely pre-cut and self-adhesive
- With a clever extra: special tweezers with integrated scraper included

Almost every analog camera you buy today on eBay & Co. has defective light seals that need to be replaced. Defective light seals crumble inside the camera and cause spotted negatives, light leaks, and can, in the worst case, damage your camera.
With this universal sealing set, you can reseal all common models from Canon, Minolta, Olympus, Nikon & Co. yourself.
Scope of delivery:
- Printed step-by-step instructions in German & English
- Cotton swabs for cleaning old seals
- Special tweezers with integrated seal scraper
- Mirror stop dampers
- Pre-cut light seals in various widths
- Crepe tape (serves as closure protection)
Additionally, you will need:
- Some solvent, such as isopropanol (available at the hardware store)
- Scissors for trimming the seals to the correct length
Frequently Asked Questions:
- Why are the seals not tailored for every specific camera model? Answer: We have our own camera repair shop and have previously experimented with custom laser-cut seals. The problem is that especially the very thin back seals tend to tear easily when edges are cut into them. Precisely cut seals can be just as easily placed in the groove, tear less quickly, & are also universally applicable. This way, you can seal two different cameras with the same set.
- Why is the universal light sealing set sold under different names? Answer: Not everyone is a camera expert. Many beginners do not know that they can also seal their camera with our universal set. To reach these customers, we sell our universal set under different names.
- I have trouble inserting the thin sealing strips. Answer: Inserting the thin sealing strips requires skill and some patience. Some retailers sell sealing strips & mats without adhesive. While these are somewhat easier to insert, you will need special flexible adhesive and a thin syringe to apply the adhesive. Because we know how fiddly the matter can be, you will find enough strips in our set to seal 2+ cameras. If one of the strips twists, you will have enough material to practice.
Compatible models:

& many more
Instructions:
- The video illustrates the process (German subtitles).
- Open the back of the camera, remove it if possible, and note the position of all old seals.
- Use the masking tape to cover and protect your camera's closure cloth.
- Use a small flathead screwdriver or the back of the tweezers to carefully scrape off the old light seals.
- If the old light seals are particularly stubborn, use isopropanol to soften the adhesive. Apply the liquid to the old seals with a cotton swab and wait a few minutes before trying to remove them again.
- Carefully remove all sealant residues and clean all surfaces where seals were previously glued with isopropanol.
- Use tweezers to attach the new light seals to the camera body, making sure they are in the correct positions.
- Pay attention to tight sealing joints (especially at the seam of the back cover) to ensure that the seals do not twist. Gently pull at one end and use the back part of the tweezers to press them into the groove.
Note: It is normal for the back of the camera to close a bit harder with new seals. The new seals will adjust themselves over time. - Turn the camera around, remove the old mirror bump stop & replace it (just like with the light seals).
- Reinsert the camera's back cover and test the new light seals by taking some test shots in bright light.

Alles super, lichtdichtungen funzen. Vielleicht könnten sie ein bisschen breiter sein, gerade die ganz dünnen. Aber alles funzt, kamera ist lichtdicht.
Frage mich wirklich was den Preis rechtfertigt.
Die Streifen sind schief zugeschnitten. Es gibt keine Abziehhilfe, was das Ganze echt zu einer fummelei macht. Und universell sind die Dinger auch nicht, es gibt eigentlich nur 2 Breiten.
The foam has the right thickness and fits perfectly.
Its extremely difficult to get the thin stripes in properly but thats on me.
I reccommend you buy 2 just du be sure.
