The Pentax 17 is the first truly new analog camera in about 30 years. For us at the Ausgeknipst team, it's a reason to celebrate. Unfortunately, Pentax didn't think to design a lens hood, so we took matters into our own hands.
The lens hood simply attaches to the focus ring and rotates with it while focusing.
An optional lens cap for the lens hood is available.
For those who prefer a more minimalist approach, there is also a quick focus ring (also known as a focus tab). It simply clips onto the lens and allows for easy focusing with one hand, just like you would with your analog Leica, Voigtländer, Hasselblad, and other rangefinders.
