Every Minolta XK Motor and XM Motor user knows the problem: the snap hooks of the battery compartment cover (the battery cover) always break off sooner or later! The reason for this is that the original part has a predetermined breaking point and is also made of very brittle material.
In collaboration with SilvergrainClassics, we have recreated the original part and also improved it. Our new battery compartment cover offers two advantages over the original part:
- The new cover is made of flexible plastic and can therefore absorb shocks better. In addition, the part is designed so that the material can better absorb the force.
- Furthermore, we have rounded the predetermined breaking point at the lower end of the snap hook.
- Thanks to the protruding pin, you can no longer insert the new cover the wrong way and thus prevent a short circuit.
Overall, this is not just a great replacement, but a newly designed part with many advantages. Not only do we think so: A must-have for all XM and XK engine users!
