Description

Every user of a Minolta XK or XM Motor knows the annoying issue: The snap hooks of the battery compartment cover eventually give out. In close collaboration with the experts from SilvergrainClassics, we tackled this problem and not only replaced the part but technically improved it significantly.

Our version 2 (V2) specifically addresses the problem of "material creep," which we identified as the main cause of breakage with the help of materials scientists. Made from high-strength, carbon fiber-reinforced PETG, this cover is much more robust than the original. Additionally, shorter springs reduce constant pressure on the hooks. A small protruding pin also ensures that you cannot insert the cover the wrong way around.
