So our designer Lars quickly developed this puristic film holder for scanning or digitizing 120 medium format negatives.
The part consists of 3 pieces:
1. Baseplate
2. Household rubber bands
3. Interchangeable top plates serve as mask frames for the different film formats:
a) 6x6 set includes baseplate, rubber bands & 6x6 top plate
Optional top plates are available separately if needed: 6x4.5, 6x6, 6x7 & 6x9
The function is incredibly simple:
- Select top plate according to format
- Secure with rubber bands
- Push the two parts apart at the small bulges on the sides.
- Insert film
- Place on a suitable light source (we ourselves use a battery-operated LED light panel with a good CRI rating)
- DSLR, mirrorless or smartphone clamp on tripod
- Scan
- Ready!
