Metz Mecablitz 76 MZ rechargeable battery replacement for 76, 70 & 50 MZ

AA battery adapter for Metz flash units of the Mecablitz 76, 70 & 50 MZ series.

• requires, besides the unplugged battery basket

  • 7x AA batteries or rechargeable batteries + 1 x AA battery dummy (included in delivery)
  • external AA battery charger
• For optimal results, we recommend using high-quality rechargeable NiMh batteries, e.g. AA batteries from the company EBL (2800 mAh)

Instructions for use (read before use!):

• WARNING: Do not charge the included battery dummy (fire hazard!)
• The AA batteries should be charged with a designated AA charger.
• the lower closure cap is locked with a twisting motion; for this, the two printed triangle markings must be aligned with the strap eye of the flash; once this is done, the closure cap is locked with a push-and-twist motion

Specifications: 

• Performance with 7x fully charged 2800mAh EBL batteries (may vary depending on the aging of the flash capacitor):
  • At manual 100% power: Recharge time: 12-15 s (compared to 8 s with the original lead battery)
  • At manual 50% power: Recharge time 3 s
• Nominal voltage with 10 x AA batteries or rechargeable batteries (5 are connected in series and 2 x 5 are connected in parallel):
  • 8.4 V with 1.2 V batteries
  • 10.5 V with 1.5 V batteries
