Who we are: From studying to founding a company

It all started when Antonio (right) gave me (Vladi, left) a Minolta 7xi and sparked my love for analog photography. Between then and now lie 5 years of studying plastics engineering, founding a company, and a lot of hard work, which today is reflected in our small webshop: www.ausgeknipst.de.

Our mission: Making analog photography accessible to everyone

In a world covered by digital technologies, our goal is not only to keep analog photography alive but also to breathe new life into it. We know from our own experience how frustrating it can be when you can't find accessories or spare parts for a beloved but older camera. That's why we offer a wide range of accessories for analog cameras – batteries and battery adapters, light seals, and lens caps are among our bestsellers. 

Currently, we have over 400 original products in our range and more are added every week. We mostly design what we and our customers, who keep sending us product suggestions, need.
We deliberately avoid common "Chinaware" and make everything ourselves in our office/3D printing farm. Our product range covers famous camera series like Leica M & LTM, Canon A, Nikon F, Olympus OM, Minolta SRT and X, Hasselblad 500, as well as "niche" models like the Nikon Nikonos underwater cameras. 

Every product is designed, manufactured, and tested for quality and functionality in our workshop in the heart of Franconia to ensure it meets the demands of passionate photographers.

We sell our quality parts "Made in Germany" internationally and thus help users all over the world keep their analog treasures running.

Introduction to our product categories

Light seals

Almost every analog camera you buy online has porous light seals that need to be replaced, otherwise they cause light leaks and in the worst case can ruin all your photos. If you want a professional to replace the light seals, you can easily spend 50 € or more, and the waiting times are getting longer. Alternative: Do it yourself with our universal light seal kit.

It fits all common 35mm SLR cameras, whether Canon AE-1, Minolta X-700, or Olympus OM-1, and includes everything you need – from new light seals to practical accessories like spatulas and toothpicks.

Batteries & battery adapters

Once the light seals have been replaced, analog photographers usually face another problem: batteries that could be bought in any photo specialty store 30 years ago are now hard to find or are no longer allowed to be sold because they contain toxic mercury. 

That's why we sell in our online shop Battery adapter for the most common models, which adapt standard button cells and hearing aid batteries to the correct format.

3D-printed covers, spare parts, and grips

Another major pillar of our business is the original design and manufacturing of Accessories for popular analog cameras. In the picture above, for example, you can see a Leica M3 with (from left to right): grip, quick-change spool, lens hood, rewind lever, thumb rest, flash sync socket covers, rubber eyecup, and our film box for 3x 35mm films.
