Its body is heavy, smooth and angular, with no grip recess. The grip's base plate sits flat under the camera and gives your right hand a firm hold without changing anything about how you operate it.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eTo mount it, place the grip under the camera, turn the screw from below through the base plate into the tripod socket and tighten it hand-tight with a coin or a flat-head screwdriver. The flat head sits in the groove between the two ridges on the underside and doesn't protrude.
